Save Our Sausalito Filing: Save Our Sausalito Challenges Late Appeal by Applicant

The applicant missed the deadline to file an appeal, but did so anyway.

Why This Development Doesn’t Fit Sausalito

The Bridgeway project, which aims to introduce 47 high-end units into the heart of our historic district, conflicts with the city’s zoning code and General Plan. Recognizing these inconsistencies, the Community Development Department made a clear determination on November 14, 2024, that the proposal did not align with established city guidelines.

Under Sausalito’s municipal code, the developer had 10 calendar days to appeal this decision. However, the appeal was only filed on December 27, 2024—more than a month past the deadline. This untimely filing should result in an automatic denial of the appeal, preserving the integrity of our city’s planning process.

Sausalito is well known for its historic charm, scenic waterfront, and vibrant community. However, a proposed development at 605-613 Bridgeway threatens to disrupt the character of our beloved downtown.
